Our Life in Pictures
It was a crazy sports weekend…5 hockey games, soccer practice, swim practice, a basketball game and a district swim meet. It all came to a screeching halt Sunday evening afternoon and just like that, the basketball, hockey and swim seasons are over. Anna went home with a 3rd in the back, 5th in the fly and 1st in the relay in her district (~15 teams) swim meet. Will’s team got 2nd in their hockey tournament. Interestingly enough, NONE of these events were in Medfield. But we did get to visit quite a few lovely towns in Eastern Mass – Charlestown, Norfolk, Wellesley, Bellingham, Milford, Malden.
Lacrosse, baseball and soccer start up in a few weeks…just about time to be outside.
Will, with help from his parents, has to decide between taking Spanish or Mandarin in 2nd grade.
Will: Mom, I think i’m going to take spanish next year
Mom: How did you decide that?
Will: We had second and third graders come talk to us about mandarin and spanish and the spanish teacher said you can speak spanish in 21 countries and some are in europe like Spain and that’s who won the 2010 world cup.
Cant wait to hear Anna’s reasoning for picking Spanish, French or Mandarin.TAGS: soccer
The girls headed to NYC for the weekend so it’s a boys weekend back in Medfield. We’ll have a full recap once it is over but the highlight of Friday night was Will scoring 2 goals in futsal (and also not letting in during his stint in goal) so we celebrated by breaking out the alphorn!
