Little brother is growing up!
And went on his first plane ride! [3/28/13, en route to cousin Pete’s wedding in Napa, more on
that fun later] Mom note: what better way to pass a 6+ hour flight with a five month old than
to take self portraits in the teeny plane bathroom? Hey, he was happy.
The bigger little brother is growing up pretty fast too. He wowed mom and dad by successfully completing his first true big boy haircut (buzzers and all and getting a spikey ‘do on request) and his first dentist visit.
Good job, boys.
9pm, sound asleep:
(“Anna helped me get to sleep and Anna rote this note. Love, Anna”)
Think it’ll hurt to rip the tape off in the morning?
Owen was baptized this weekend.
He was very well behaved, and also very handsome.
Auntie Chrissy is Owen’s Godmother, and Papa Mac stood in for Godfather Uncle Mitch,
who couldn’t be there. We missed you Mitch!
After the baptism, we had lots of family (the local ones) back to the house to celebrate, which basically turned into a Patriots playoff watching party – as these things always tend to do. (They won!)
Dec12TAGS: BABY BROTHER!!!
The elves are back and watching our every move, so we are working on being good!
We also went to see Santa.
Anna and Owen were perfectly fine with it but I think that man is downright scary!!
PS If you think Anna was always so cool with all of this, guess again!
We went to Smolak Farms this weekend to cut down our very own Christmas tree. Same routine as last year, except this year we had our new buddy with us! We all enjoy the experience for different reasons – Will because there is a saw involved (Dad too), Mom because there’s homemade cider donuts and hot apple cider, me because these people need some direction. Owen just enjoyed being
carted around in his little elf suit.
And, just like last year, we held the ropes on the way home to make sure the tree didn’t blow away.
Then the three of us went to dreamland.
The happy news first: Owen’s first thanksgiving! Handsome guy.
The bad news: While playing with my cousins on Thanksgiving night, I hit my foot against a table. After I hobbled around in pain for two days, mom and dad finally took me to the hospital (they had been telling me to just walk on it; turns out the nice doctor at the hospital said whatever I do, don’t walk on it). I have two broken bones in my foot so they put a temporary cast on it and we have to go to the orthopedic doctor and I’ll be in a cast or boot for 4 – 6 weeks! No swimming for me for a while 🙁
