Our Life in Pictures
Our baby turned 1, like several weeks ago, and we failed to post any pictures from his bday. Mom made him a banana monkey cake, which made him nervous at first (or was it the fire)–but then he settled right in!
He is still a happy happy baby, getting mischievous and forming opinions (code for developing a temper!). He walks a lot of the time now, but still often prefers crawling because it’s faster! He loves: american cheese, toast with butter, avocados, bananas (when’s he in charge), grilled cheese, looking at books, climbing furniture, the remote control, and us. We love him to pieces.
Happy 1st birthday to the best baby on the planet!!
Happy Birthday to the #1 Dad. We made this chocolate peanut butter landslide (too-much-milk-in-the-frosting) cake just for you. Special cake for a special guy. Hope you enjoyed it.
We love you!!
(Poor Owen was sleeping and missed out on all the fun.)
When you cross 2 sleeping boys, a girl hobbling around on one good foot, and 2 hungry/thirsty parents who are just happy to get out of the house?
Anna’s birthday dinner at PF Changs! Happy 7th birthday Anna!
Will may have turned three on Monday (birthday pictures coming at some point?), but he still does super silly things, like hiding his sports equipment in his pj pants at night. Among other items, he sleeps with one hockey puck and three baseballs, and mom found him asleep tonight with two of the baseballs down the drawers – one in front, one in back – how could this be comfortable?!
Today Dad turned 37! We spoiled him by letting him sleep til almost 9 (that’s about a 3-hour sleep-in around here if anyone’s counting), then served him breakfast in bed and showered him with gifts – we think his favorite was the reeces peanut butter cups wrapped in construction paper. Then he left us for the day to run a 10K with Uncle Stephen down by the ocean (they both did really well!) and then came home in time for stir-fry for dinner. We love our DAD!
Just a few pictures of me and Anna bowling at a birthday party.
Anna bowled a 76. Ask her about it, she’ll happily tell you all about it.

Last week we had our holiday shows at school. Mom and Dad were in the cheap seats at both events, but even from way in the back, they could see me standing up front, frightened, gnawing on my fist instead of singing Frosty. My friends were equally confused/nervous/unsure of what to do. We wore it all over
our little faces.
Anna’s school had her show the following day. Anna’s class did the Reindeer Pokey and a song Mom and Dad didn’t know. See if you can pick her out – hints: she’s just about the tallest in her class, and she’s somewhere in the middle…
PS, then this weekend Anna (finally) had her final 6th birthday celebration. It was a gymnastics party and it was wild and crazy fun.
Celebration #1: PF Changs with my family (and Kit) for fried rice and pot stickers!
Celebration #2: Cupcakes with my classmates at school (sorry no photo,
so here’s one of me and Will instead:)
Celebration #3: Cake with my cousins after football:
Celebration #4: Birthday Party at the gymnastics academy coming up on December 18th!!
It’s good to be 6.
